All hail the trash can in the wall!

. . . I dunno, that's what Dakota just said.  And that is what happens when you go for a run at 8 PM at night and now it's 10 and you probably shouldn't be blogging.

But as I am a person that operates under if-I-don't-do-this-now-it-will-never-happen, I must do this now.

THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART.  And maybe someday I will flesh this out. . . but we all know about someday.
Tonight's sermon reminded me of an old blog post. So you should go listen to the sermon (I don't know the name, but look for the date once it is posted. . . look here).  And then go read the post I linked.

Also, lunar halos are really cool.  I saw one tonight as I ran.  That's one of the main reasons I prefer running outside to running on a treadmill- I get to watch the sky.  And since I am a night owl, I get to see the night sky (don't get me wrong, I end up running in the mornings as well, and that has its advantages, but. . . well, I got nothing.  Time to go to bed).

Are you a Jew? (also Valentine's)

So tired, but tired for good reasons (mostly).  But before my head hits the pillow tonight, I wanted to share one thing that bears repeating.  This morning's sermon (which, btw, you can find here- I imagine the sermon will be posted by Tuesday at the latest) was based around the opening of Romans 9, and our pastor brought up an interesting point.  During the sermon, he discussed the seemingly opposing views of predestined by God versus human freewill, and he offered an analogy that appeals to both sides.  Think of God as the captain of a team, and during recess, He chooses you to be a part of His team.  His offer is open to you. . . but you also have to choose to be on His team.

Think. . . really think. . . that's a pretty good picture.  Anyway, my real point is go listen to the sermon.

Also, for the record, 2012 was a tough year.  I'm glad that I am facing 2013 in a much better fashion.

And I leave you with this- it was a bulletin board at church, and I thought it was well done.  Happy Valentine's Day. . . Week. . . something. . . !!
